The novel “Awara Onsen Monogatari”, based on the Beniya ryokan

The novel “Awara Onsen Monogatari”, based on the Beniya ryokan in Awara Onsen, Fukui, which we designed, has been published.

Beniya lost its building in a fire in 2018 and was rebuilt in 2021. The book describes the drama of the people who played an active role in the revival of Awara Onsen, including the manager and his wife, who struggled to revive the hotel.

The book was published on 16th March, the same day as the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, with hopes for the reconstruction of the entire Hokuriku region. In addition, the entire amount of the copyright fee will be donated to the disaster-affected areas.
