ヨーロッパ主要建築家フォーラム「LEAF（リーフ）」が運営する国際建築賞の環境パフォーマンス部門に入選しました。
太陽光や風の取り込み、水の循環による温度管理など、自然を生かす設計が評価され、18日（現地時間）にドイツのフランクフルトで授賞式が開かれました。大賞(Overall Winner)部門賞とも、イギリスの建築家  Zaha Hadid、特別功労賞(Lifetime Achievement Winner)には、イギリスの建築家 のSir David Chipperfieldが受賞しました。

Tetsuo Kobori Architects was a finalist for the International Architecture award 「ABB LEAF Award 2018」with the project 「NICCA INNOVATION CENTER」.

With a selected group of important architects such as the British architect Sir Peter Cook, 「NICCA INNOVATION CENTER」was selected as a finalist for the for「Best Achievement in Environmental Performance」category. With the design taking advantage of the nature elements by making use of natural light, wind and water to control the building temperature, the project had its sustainability potential evaluated.

A gala dinner to announce the winners was held in Frankfurt, Germany on October 18^th. Zaha Hadid Architects was the Overall Winner of the night and Sir David Chipperfield was honored with the Lifetime Achievement of the Year prize.
